We have entered a new reading phase in our household.

I call it “the book obsession phase.”

Let me explain.  For the past three weeks, Rose has gotten obsessed with one book at a time.  The first one was Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle.  When she initially became obsessed with Brown Bear, she was asking to have it read to her 4-5 times a day.  Part of her obsession, I suspect, came from the noises I was making for each animal, but regardless, for about a week it was the only book she wanted to read.

After her obsession with Brown Bear, she switched over to a book called Good Night, Gorilla by Peggy Rathman.  Once again, Rose developed a full-on obsession with the book.  We read it multiple time every day and at least twice at bedtime for about 5 days.

The latest book Rose has an obsession with is Horns to Toes and In Between by Sandra Boynton.  With this one, she absolutely loves pointing to her head, ears, nose, mouth, and feet along with the book.

I have no idea what book she’ll be obsessed with next, but I would love to hear what books your kids are obsessed with or have been obsessed with in the comments!
